Fire Trucks Deployed to Clean Up Jalan Kayu Putih Raya From Mud

Tens joint personnel as well as three fire trucks deployed to spray remaining mud after flood in Kayu Putih Urban Village, Pulogadung, East Jakarta, Monday (2/24).

Kayu Putih Urban Village Head, Artika Ristiana mentioned, on Sunday (2/23) Kayu Putih Urban Village was inundated due to overflowing water from Pulo Nangka River and Ria Rio Reservoir. After flood, the remaining mud piled up to 10 centimeters on the road.

"For road users safety, we clean up Jalan Kayu Putih Raya from mud. Because it is quite thick, we use fire truck's water canon to clean it," she explained.

Pulogadung Gulkarmat Sector Leader, Kuslani said, his side cleaned up the road from mud as long as 300 meters, start from in front of Colombia Hospital to Pulomas LRT Station.

"We deploy 3 fire truck units to accelerate the cleaning," he added.

Around 80 joint personnel involved in this cleaning. Those are from Satpol PP, Environment Sub-department, Transportation Sub-department, urban village, sub-district, TNI/Polri, and PPSU.
